Smalcald Articles:
A Window into Martin Luther

This class seeks to:

• Look at the Smalcald Articles to glimpse Martin Luther’s theological framework
• underscore the Lutheran concept of law and gospel
• Create an opportunity for fellowship and learning


The workshop begins on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cost includes a double occupancy room with bathroom, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
Cost: $137
Scholarships available: $25

Preparation

Participants should read the Smalcald Articles before coming to the retreat. They can be found in the Book of Concord, which you can buy, or you can borrow from your pastor or church library. While the Articles are only around 30 pages, the language of the Articles is not quick reading—give yourself some time to digest them.
