Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 Kansas City Street, Rapid City, is celebrating it’s 100th Anniversary this year. On March 14, 2014, an organizational meeting was held in the home of Mr. James Thompson and a Scandinavian Lutheran Congregation was established in Rapid City and named the Rapid City Skandinavisk Lutherske Menighed. This church was later renamed St. John’s Lutheran Church and then Trinity Lutheran Church.
On Sunday, March 16, Trinity will celebrate the beginning of this congregation with a special Founding Sunday Worship Service at 8:30 a.m. The English translation of the Norwegian State Church Service, the same service that would have been used 100 years ago, will be used on that day. You are invited to share in the celebration on March 16. Please join us!
