Thomas Karl Emanuel and Stephen Miller will visit Marty’s Mug on January 29th at Bro’s Brasserie Americano (332 S Phillips Ave, Sioux Falls) at 7:30 PM. Both men have been extremely involved in Taizé Worship and are involved with planning the gathering in Red Shirt, South Dakota this May 24- 27th. This gathering is particularly focused on young adults. Therefore, Marty’s Mug is working to form a group to attend this gathering. Those interested in more information and learning more about Taizé should plan on attending Marty’s Mug on the 29th or contact Jeanette Clark at jclark001@luthersem.edu for more information.

More about the Red Shirt gathering:

You are warmly invited to this ‘pilgrimage of trust on earth’, bringing together young people from across North America toward a new solidarity in faith. The outdoor gathering is hosted by the Lakota Community of Red Shirt, South Dakota, a tiny village at the edge of the Badlands on the Pine Ridge Oglala Lakota Indian Reservation. Prayer, Bible study, workshops, and small-group sharing will be led by brothers of the Christian ecumenical community of Taizé, France. More information on the synod website at sdsynod.org/taize.
